A/C issues, please help!
Hey, my A/C started to act up. It's only blowing cold air when I have it at the coldest setting at 60 degrees. I notice when I increase the temp to 65 or 70 it sounds like its turning off and blows hot air. When I put it back to 60 same thing happens and blows cold air. Can it be a sensor thats going bad ?
Thanks in advance!

I would suspect a blend door issue vs an actual problem with the A/C system.
Pop your hood and turn the A/C on, you'll hear the compressor click and one of the lines will get pretty cold. Have someone raise the temp to 70 degrees. Does the compressor click off? Does that line that is cold stay cold?
If the A/C stays running, then my guess is a blend door issue.

Possibility but not sure: could be the cabin sensor. It could also be the radio causing the issue as covered in other posts on this forum. GD radios!

The blend door is what regulates the air from the vents. It's an actual door inside the HVAC system that directs air between the A/C evaporator and heater core to mix the air and get a certain temp flowing from the vents.
If he's getting cold air at 60, but it stops at a warmer temp, i feel it's not the mechanical A/C system, but an electrical issue like blend door, or even interior cabin temp sensor.

Where is the cabin sensor? I have to opposite issue. I can turn mine up to 76 degrees and I am cold in my car.
