delivery problems with dealer? help!!

I bought a G35x from a dealership that did not have the car so they got the car from another dealership but drove the car over from one dealer to the other.. they said that they do not truck the car unless it comes from the port!? and that for swapping cars with dealerships they drive the car? is this true? i would appreciate any advice!! the car will have about 50-60 miles on it now!!

It's cool bro. Just a transfer, no joyriding.

Let's see 50 - 60 miles on it...hmmm. that means you can start romping on her in about 1140 miles. See. they helped you break her in. CHERRY POPPED!

Okay, what are the details?

First list of questions: Did you buy the car sight unseen? Did you know that it was at another dealership? Have you paid for the car and signed all the paper work?

Second list of questions: If you bought the car sight unseen, did you specify that it be delivered with fewer than __X__ miles on the odometer? If you knew it was at the other dealership, did you ask how it would be delivered? If you haven't paid for the car and signed all the paper work, are you willing to walk away from the deal because it has 10-60 miles more than expected on the odometer?

If you think the car is less desirable with 50-60 miles - imagine how you'll feel when it loses 10% of its value when you drive it home from the dealership.

Sorry that it's not as special in that condition but it is the car you wanted, isn't it?

When I bought my last car, '00 Mustang GT, it was delivered to the dealers main lot, they drove it to the satellite lot where I had ordered it, had about 35 miles on it, I had no problem with that. My G had 24 miles on it, they had taken it to have the windowa tinted, that was fine as well IMO!

Thanks everyone.. they said it has 42 miles on it. they drove it from the Bronx to NJ. well from hearing everyones responses i guess its acceptable.. i havent seen the car yet or signed anything or paid them.. but it is the car i want and im not sure how long it will take to get another one if i walk away.. so i will prob just suck it up and take the car. however i am going to demand the dealer to throw in some accessories. =)

Good Luck with it.... 42 miles are nothing when you know how they got there! You should at least be able to get some free oil changes out of it.
