2JZ GSedan "2JG"

Ok so here's my question... What's wrong with going with a RB ?? It's a Nissan motor and its still a inline six that can build sick power. Don't get me wrong I like the swap but why a 2j or even a ls swap. Personally I think the ls swap might throw the wight balance be way off.. I'm just sayin.

well the ls isn't a *** engine so for a jdm purist it simply won't do, and as much as I hate to admit it the 2JZ still has better power potential than the RB26. Also he did say he wanted to do something different, and there are far fewer JZ swapped Gs than RB since the G is the Skyline in Japan, and the RB is the Skyline motor.

Don't get me wrong I know that the RB26 is no slouch, but the 2JZ is more common and has more aftermarket support, and therefore has more power potential at least to your average person who doesn't have a connection to race teams in Japan or something. I personally would go with the RB26 but that's because the idea of putting a Toyota engine in my Nissan just doesn't sit right with me.

This is pretty awesome. Good job. I was actually going to the the swap into my 07 coupe. But I sold my turbo kit, and I just sold today my vis and cf hood and grill. I purchased an 03 350z enthusiast and now in the process of using that car for my build.
I'm looking for about 7-800 on e85. All around race car/ daily driver. The reason why people go 2j is bc the ability of the platform to hold as much power as it does stock. All you have to buy is the Engine. With RBs you have to put alot of money in them to make them reliable. A 2j on e85 will go forever if tuned right.
What are you using for tuning? Are they making your stock gauges work?
I'm doing everything myself except for welding and tuning lol once I have more progress ill start a thread
