HELP! where can i find g35x axles
i search and search and search but can't seem to find any front passenger g35x axles. can i just take it to a shop and have them rebuild the axle for me?
Rockauto.com
Depending on when you purchase, they either sell the axles with a core, or offer a repair and return option.
Right now, you can buy the front left for $68 + core, but have to send in the front right for rebuild for $69.

^^ +1
I bought a driver rear half shaft 2 years ago for less than $100 from rockauto and 26K miles later it's solid as a rock.

I have a front right x axle w/ less than 5k miles
I have one of these sitting in my garage right now, less than 5K miles.
I installed it in May, after purchasing it brand new from a dealership in Kansas City. I drove it for about 5 months, then noticed the tell-tale grease in the wheel well and the inside of the rim - it had a tiny gash. So, I finally sent off the old axle, which had been laying in my garage, to Rockauto and they had returned it to me remanufactured within 2 weeks total. I now have the original rebuilt axle on the car, and a near-new axle with a slightly-damaged outer boot sitting in my garage.
You can PM me if you like. I called the dealership who sold it to me, and they are willing to swap me, free of charge, for another brand new axle, since the part's still under warranty for 1 year.
I would be happy to help you out and keep your costs low, providing you do the same for the next guy!
