Bad problems after someone changed my battery on my 05 g35x

Sunroof, signal lights in dash, buttons to set clock, auto up on windows and more stopped working. Car drives but lots of things stopped working. How do I fix it? Went to Infiniti and there were no codes. Pop-up nav motor is bad before so my have to fix that first. Any other suggestions? Sorry if this is a repost.

Sounds like a relay, possibly fuse. Check those first, possibly blew something while hooking up the battery.

Well, the cables could be right now. But hooking backwards even for a min could cause some serious electrical issues

Honestly you just have to start chasing down wires. If your cables were connected wrong even for a sec. Things that aren't supposed to be seeing a constant 12 volts now have juice running to them, and vice versa your now grounding out things. Check your fuses, relays, fuseable links to start. If nothing found get a wiring diagram and go to town

I manually lifted my nav and it is working. It doesn't go down but Infiniti can do more now. I will take it in soon. My wife don't know cause I have been making excuses to drive it. She will kill me if she finds out.

I did it once to a car years ago it fried the ECM. Fortunately it was an older EFI car, so it was a cheap $100 replacement.

Happened to my mother's maxima. Check the wires to the mini box off the positive terminal. A cable was disconnected somewhere.

I've seen plenty of guys swap cables on other cars.

It would be hard on the G35. They would have to put the battery in backwards with the terminals to the rear of the car. The two cables would reach, but it's a little stretch. Someone would really have to not be paying attention to do this.

Other things can happen during the battery install that could cause electrical gremlims. SHorting the battery to ground could also screw things up pretty good.

The one time I did it in a different car years ago...it blew the ECM

Sorry for the late response but Infiniti said it was a special fuse. Everything is back to normal. Thanks for the help everyone.
