Scraping Noise When Turning

Got this annoying scraping noise from the front left wheel when I turn left. It sounds like the tire scrapping on something but I checked million times and it’s not touching anything. I took the wheel off and I can’t see anything wrong. Any idea? Thanks

If you have the X model, it's very possible the front drive shaft bearing is going bad. If that's the case, you should consider to replace the right one also.

Do get the sound when you're driving fast or slow or both?

Might be a wheel bearing going out. Lift the front end of your car and try to move the wheel on the side making the noise by grabbing it on the right and left to see if it has any play. It should be rock solid, if you can move it at all the bearing's going bad.

.....a loose wheel bearing 9 times out of 10 is up and down movement. Only if its on its last leg it will it have up and down as well as left to right play

did you mean the cv joints here? I think with my car the bearing is going bad but I’m getting a similar grinding noise, the real weird thing is I have a slow leak in my steering rack and I also feel shaking at higher speeds or when slowing down from freeway speed Or did you mean front driveshaft vrs the rear?

Coupe, Premium package, sport suspension
Front driveshaft. You don't want that bearing to fail while moving. The shaft will gyrate wildly and create all kind of mayhem, including the possibility of punching a hole in the block or oilpan and draining your oil lickety split. I'd get your noise looked into ASAP. There are threads about this on the forum, including photos. It's not pretty. (former sedanX owner here).

Turns out, the scraping noise was from it being lowered and the camber was too much of an angle. 😆 I just replaced front and rear suspension with Godspeed brand and it went away. So the scariest part of it all was that I actually went thru the trouble of removing and inspecting the wheel bearing hub assembly AND had ordered its replacement… I also checked CV joints. And guess Fu€kn whattt…. I had an egg in my tire the whole time. My tire!!! A bad freaking tire. So end of story my mind went to repairs when it all should have started with the simple check of having first checking the damn tire. Ugh thank you all for the warning though
