Rattle in dash??? Fixed mine..

I had taken my car to the dealer many times to fix a rattle that was coming from my dash, near my feet. Each time they couldn't reproduce it or find it, go figure.
SO... when I got home today I grabbed my flash light and went hunting.

I ended up taking off the fuse cover by the foot rest and tapping on one of the large wire harnesses. Found the rattle. I traced it by tapping on the wire harness until I could zero in.

It was a white connector that was secured down to a metal plate. I grabbed it and hit the harness again. No rattle. So I pulled the plug up removing it from the connector, and it's fine where it is, held in place by the connections it's making to other harnesses.

So if you have one that's similiar...try taking off the fuse cover and tapping around.. Mine was the white plug that is above the fuse box, sittling by itself.

Just an FYI.

Thanks guys.

I had a dash rattle when I first picked up my G35x-I cured it by moving the flashlight I put in the glove box! I'm glad you found your noisemaker.

A similar rattle on mine, but on the passenger side, behind the access panel under the glove box, there is some sort of plastic connector, that rattles in mine, I put a piece of carpet pad on the panel, that seems to have stopped it, but I'd like to figure a more permanent way.
