when we bought it from the dealer I noticed that the trunk wasn't opening. I told them it wasnt that much of a big deal because I mean, I'm a senior in highschool. I rarely really use the trunk, but I would like to get it fixed just in case I will need to use it. I think we did get a warranty. And I had to reschedule, so I'm taking it to the dealer Saturday to get it looked at.

Rule #23 of buying a used car: Make a big deal about anything..even if it's not a big deal. Hopefully you negotiated some price off the car due to that.

Go in the backseat and pull down the center armrest and open the flap. If you look inside the trunk area with a flashlight, there are two pull handles to open the trunk. One if is the mafia carjacks you and stuffs you in the trunk. It's a glow in the dark yellow handle. But there is a small cable for opening the trunk from the backseat as well in case the electronic popper doesn't work

Both can be reached from the backseat

When you do open the trunk I know this sounds odd but there is a wiring harness on passenger side at the front of trunk when fully opened,G35 sedans and coupes are notrious for wires breaking inside that harness and they will need to be repaired and soldered. This sounds like the fix for your concern from what I am reading here. Hope this helps Cobycocnut
