Repeated problem with 2006G35x sedan: car dies or stalls, rpm drops, pushing the accelerator down produces little or no effect. Rpm drop at idle to 200 rpm producing a near stall . Recently replaced the MAS sensor for the second time. VDC, check engine, and slip lights were on but went off with new sensors, now a short time later the problem returns, and this time with no warning lights on! Interruption in engine rpm each time but manifests itself differently at times. First time the car died cold, later engine would not exceed 2000 rpm. When it comes out of this mode the car accelerates normally to red line. Intermittent and frustrating problem. Car is capable of dying at anytime.

 

I would guess it's one of the camshaft position sensors. I had to change one on my '06x last year after a stalling episode that nearly left me and my kids stranded. I had the same series of lights - VDC, SES, and Slip. Try searching threads on "Camshaft Position Sensor" to see similar symptoms and how to pull the codes. Good luck!
