05 infiniti g35 coupe remote start

I was wanting to get my son a remote starter installed on his 2005 infiniti g3s sedan, and was just wanting some suggestions. I looked at a viper at best buy. Anyone had any experience with best buy installs,or have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Does he have the standard key, or the intelligent key (keyless ignition).

Assuming he has an auto transmission. Really need more information to answer your question. Price/quality can vary from $50 dollars to well over $1000 depending on what range you are looking for and options you want. Do you want just a remote start or alarm combo as well? Does he have an immoblizer? Do you want one way or two way? Do you want seperate remote, or have it work with OEM remote, or have it start with a smartphone?

Install price can vary alot too depending on your location. Check you local yellow pages for a list of local stops, then check their reviews on google and yelp. Remote start install is actually very easy, the biggest concern is the shop taking care not to scract up your interior when removing/installing panels. You can save a lot of money by just doing the install yourself. You can download the G35 wiring diagrams from the interwebz and follow the simple instructions.

Compustar and Directed (viper/clifford/autostart/ect) are both very popular choices and both will work well. Check out both websites, figure out what you are looking for, then call local shops in your area for quotes.

^^ It doesnt. Just need service. It works over 3G or WiFi (My wife has it and it is amazing, though I found out I can in fact set off the alarm with my phone while she is driving the car.... she wasn't pleased wtih the discovery)

I think I pay $100 a year. But the service is like XM. You can call up every year and haggle a lower price.
