hello, i tried searching but couldnt find an exact answer. i see that a tranny flush takes more quarts to refill, but if i just want to drain my tranny, how many quarts of nissan matic s should i buy?

I've done 4 drain/fills on my G35 so far.

Each time used exactly 4 qts. I always had 5 on hand just in case.

drail/fill #5 due as soon as the temp warms up to the upper 30s

 

3.5 each time I did mine

 

General rule for a D/F for 90% of cars is 6qt.

Seems 3.5-4 qts come out of our pans. Also do factor in a small amount of spillage and etc. I normally get 6qts because in most cases you can use that as P/S fluid as well.

 

I've tried different things to get more fluid up. Jacking up the rear, or jacking up the front. Most i can get is ~ 4 qts out

 

How often should the fluid be changed? I just bought my car last month
