Air conditioning acting weird

I've used the search function and haven't been able to come up with any answers.

My 03 sedan is giving me some odd air conditioning issues. The air conditioning blows hot air at all temperatures except for when I turn it down to 60 degrees, at which point it blows ice cold air. I'm confused as to why it does this, any ideas on what I can do to solve it?

Sounds like you have a bad intake sensor which is behind the glove box inside the evaporator box. The part number is 27723-AG000 and it is about $50. It is a little bit of a pain to change though

Thank you, is there any way to confirm this is the issue before I pay to have it replaced?

I can't remember exactly how to put the 03 into self diag mode for the climate control but usually it will show you what the intake sensor, in car sensor and ambient sensor are reading and the intake sensor when it is bad will normally have a reading that is off the charts like -97 degrees farenheight. That is the easiest way to confirm it

Any updates on a fix? My 06 G35 sedan has the same problem. Thanks.
