So yesterday it started snowing and I was out too late in the car. I started sliding taking an exit ramp and hit the gaurd rail.

So anyway, my nismo bumper is f*cked. These are out of production now, correct? My question is, what am I going to be able to do as far as replacing this with my insurance? What are my options now?

 

OEM sport bumpers you can buy off here for 100. You may want to avoid the insurance claim it's so cheap.

 

What? OEM Nismo sedan sport bumpers are $100?

 

Non-Nismo Sport. Nismo you probably will only be able to get used or in fiberglass.

Your insurance will place a value on the Nismo, I've heard as high as $1200.00, you can get a poly rep from R1 and have the body shop make it look like new.

 

I thought sport bumpers were only 05-06?? Show me a pic of 03-04 sport bumper cuz I never seen the ****...

But I am definitively filing a claim because it's more than just the bumper.. the headlight and front side panel is f*cked and today I just noticed damage on the rear side panel above the nismo underskirt... I didn't remember the rear hitting it but apparently it did.

I need to find the link for buying the replica. Don't have time right now but if someone could post it here I would really appreciate it.

So if the replica costs less than $1200, the insurance would give me the difference for that part of the repair??

Ouch that looks like a possible total loss. Most likely slight frame damage guarantee new reinforcement new radiator ac condensor radiator support new hood new bumper new headlight and who knows what else under all the damage. But oem radiator support hood and lights are pretty expensive man

 

Looks like the passenger air bag has been deployed. If so, the bumper is the least of concern.

 

Whoa whoa whoa... things are getting confusing here.

1. It sounds like Jeff92se accident happened some time ago and he has already dealt with it but I'm not sure if people are confusing him with me.

2. Can we clarify for 03-04 there is the Nismo sport bumper which is what I'm trying to replace... someone says there is a non-Nismo sport which I swear there is not! Can you post some pics if there is?

3.Is this the only replica or are there others? Because this doesn't seem like the one I remember.


The other thing I'm wondering about is the plastic gaurding piece connected to the back of the bumper. Where do I get one for the replica bumper?

 

This is definitively a replica, I couldn't find a sedan Nismo brand new.

 

There is no none Nismo. Does the 05 or g35x bumpers fit? Can't remember if the headlights are diff. They sort of look like the Nismo but nothing looks exactly or as good except the real thing or replica
