Lines leaking water under passenger door
Lines leaking water under passenger door
What are these lines, and why is there so much water coming from them?

This is under the passenger door, and these lines leave a noticeable puddle of water (H2O, not coolant or other liquid) on the ground.

While it looks like it's rubbed through there is no system onboard cars that is designed to carry H20 without coolant mixed in. And since you say this is under the passenger door I'm going to guess it's condensation coming from a tube in the AC system inside the car that is designed to port it to the outside. It is not anything to worry about, unless you not using your AC at the time. Any car with AC has a similar solution and will leave puddles of water when they stand with the AC running.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I haven't been ignoring this thread. An ignition coil went out so I haven't been driving the G35 for a few days until the part came in. Anyway, after getting it running again today, I haven't been able to reproduce the water issue. The water started leaking after replacing the belts. Today I adjusted the A/C belt (it seemed a little loose). I wonder if the lack of tension in the belt had anything to do with A/C performance/producing more condensation? I wouldn't think so, but the problem went away after tightening the belt. I'll keep an eye on it and loosen the bracket over those lines if the water starts dripping heaving again. Until then, it seems resolved.
