Well, I had a great experience with adding the Z tube on my 03 coupe. Not performance, but rather the sound. I bought a new tube for my 05 Sedan 6mt and installed it last night.

This morning I drove my sons to school in the sedan. Sigh... no difference. Maybe adding a coupe mid-pipe will increase the fun. Then again, the 05 may already have it.

No performance or no audible difference. Or both?

My garage is cold (too lazy to turn on the heater) and it's colder outside. I will look and try to take a picture this weekend.

As for the sound and performance. I noticed no difference in either. I doubt a difference could be noticed in the performance side even if there was improvement.

I wouldn't call it a Z-tube, but I had spare parts lying around and I threw this in for fun. Didn't make a damn difference from what I can tell. Ill be putting on a coupe mid-pipe next week if I have time, hopefully thats audibly noticeable.

nickk6... is that an equivalent to the 350z tube? yours looks pretty nice with the "nismo" on it. i just bought a z-tube myself and will hopefully get it installed when the weather is warmer. are you thinking of getting a battery cover too?

Its actually from a 350z, however, I just had the tube and a silicon adapter, so I hooked it up directly to the thottle body, everything was eliminated from the TB to that ribbed connector.

Haha, no battery cover, my days of spending money to make a car look better are over.

Don't fight the urge for clear corners! They are inexpensive, very easy to
install and look Great!

G35Girl is right though, it starts with clear corners. Then you say hey a front lip won't look bad...exhaust would sound good....and it keeps going and going. I think I dropped around 8g's on my last car, and I've maybe gotten 1g back so far selling parts.

Although, I just got my windows tinted, I couldn't help it, I don't like bright lights intruding into the cabin, so it was a must, especially when I will be driving in traffic during the summer, need to keep the car cooler some how.

I just did the Z tube on my 2005 Sedan about 30 minutes ago. Guess what? I don't hear a single difference! Bummer. I was looking forward to a nice intake noise.

I don't know how you guys have no sound difference. My 05 with the z tube is twice as loud (if not louder) than stock....

I can only hear a bit more noise above 3000 RPM, which is fine for me. It’s noticeable without being annoying. But hey if you want noise go buy your self a new charger and put a set of headers and glass packs on it. Crap, I just dated my self again…
