Removed "power duct" no sound increase

So I'm relatively new to my 03 g35 6mt. I have a K&N CAI and drop in filter an like the sound a lot. I wanted a little more umph from it though. So I took off the power duct and was hoping for that deeper louder sound every talks about. Unfortunately I didn't hear a noticeable difference what did I do wrong and what else can I do to make it louder for relatively cheap ~$100.

They upgrade to the REVUP stock intake. Plenum spacer adds a wild amount of noise man.

If I added a cone intake would that change the sound not a pop charger but just in general are cones louder than drop ins?

Ztube rev-up air box and call it a day. Cone filter in the engine bay = heat soak less hp. Car sounds great as is. Yes the 5/16th spacer will help hp and sound.

Unless you can find a good exhaust or art pipes for $100, there's nothing more you can do for your "sound"

MD spacer should be your next upgrade. Forget the intake thing for now

Pics would help us to see what you have/are talking about. I thought you just had a k&n drop in.

No
Let it go. You'll be wasting your money for a barely noticeable sound.

Larger inlet, better air flow?? from what i read. Use the search. Theres soooo many threads on this subject, pics too. I bought it just to go with the ztube and moved on. If you got the money then go for it. Your driving an Infiniti so you must have $$$ LOL..
