Clicks when shifting into R and D on automatic

Somewhat new G driver here. When I put the car into reverse and drive I hear light clicks, it sounds like it's coming from the back end. Just curious to see if this may be an issue or not. No problems with anything on the car otherwise

Thanks!

Yup just like mentioned above it's the axel click. It needs to be greased up and sound will go away. Don't wait to long as I'm doing now and regretting because the clicking sounds gets louder over time. It's kinda annoying/embarrassing when everyone can hear it clearly

Why would axle click occur at a switch of direction? I think he means the shifter is clicking. Mine clacks and the car seems to dip and sway as I change between PRND.

Well when the car goes in reverse and the clicking noise comes from the rear of the car it's 90% of the time the axel needing to be greased..I think almost every G has ran into this problem before..if not then it WILL happen eventually..

Ddove- did you mean that when you put car into reverse that it makes a click in the rear end (metal sound like) and goes away pretty much right after?

Yes. The car does shift lower and sway backwards a tiny bit. The click almost sounds as if you press your brakes but not all the way and you get that break pad on rotor noise.

Yea then it's the axel click as mentioned above. It happens to all G's sooner or later the grease they use for the axel tends to wear out overtime and needs to be replaced..there's diys for it here and YouTube. It's seems like an pretty straight forward job if your doing it on your own
