Slight engine miss at WOT

When I am trying to pass on a two lane road or really hit it on an on-ramp I get a slight miss. If I ease up just a little it will smooth out. Otherwise it always runs great. Coil pack? Injector? I changed plugs (iridium) about a year ago.
Ideas?

I find it hard to believe no one has an idea.

No check engine light, I presume? Not going over red line either?

If your the mechanical type... pull the plugs. My misses were related to fouled plugs and very lean AFR.

new plugs and a oil catch can helped. but ultimately I needed a tune to go further. it is still early on for my tune results so I won't say the tune fixed it 100%.

No check engine light, not going redline.
I could go ahead and change plugs again and give them a look over when I pull them.

I had a similar problem with a 1976 VW. It needed a fuel filter change. The pressure to the injectors was too low at high RPM.

Pull your plugs soon after a few WOT runs. That will give you a better impression as to if you are running lean. If you idle or cruise around for a bit, the results will be skewed.

Leaky cam cover gaskets, leading to oily plugs will lead to a miss fire.

^ this along with the general nature of the PCV system to suck oil up. Did a catch can and so far my plugs have been much better off.

my previous set of plugs (before the catch can) were replaced by the oem dealer under a used warranty and they lasted all 2 months before having no-fire and severe ping issues in mid summer heat.

oil is your enemy for v35 blocks.
