2003-04 Wood Trim

Did any of you guys put a wood trim on the center console? I saw those kits on Ebay for $150, but Iam not sure if they are good if it looks cheap and what not. Also how do you put it on? glue, tape etc....

wow, that's tons of wood. i remember someone buying the brushed aluminum kit and saying that it used tape. as for the door handles and shifter, those could be snap-on if they're like the OEM kit.

Do NOT buy a kit from ebay. End of story. Spend the extra money and go with burtmanindustries.com. I got burned twice in buying dash kits for my Q45. The ~$125 kit, bought from some jackass in Brooklyn, came with peices that didn't fit and were cracked. The more expensive kit came with peices that didn't fit. They'll end up billing you for shipping and a restocking fee (to restock a defective kit, presumably), even if they refund your money. Jason Burtman is a moderator on another Nissan/Infiniti forum and sells high quality stuff.

Yep, its 3M backed tape.
I had it installed at the dealer when I bought my G. I only had him install it on the bottom half as top half has a small piece cut out on the top storage compartment (compartment if you don't have NAVI).

Heres a pic of what I did.

Sherwood is the second kit I bought that didn't fit my Q45. They were good about refunding my money with no fees, so they're probably a decent company. But if the kits don't fit, what's the point?

those stick on wood trims too cheap and ugly, its just this layer of plastic stuck on to your dash

the wet transfer is actually having the pattern you want (wood, marble, carbon fiber) wraped on to the pieces you want to have wood in, and clear coat. the trims looks like its from factory and not some stuck on plastic

If I remember correctly, I winded up paying like $500 for the complete kit but I only had some of the kit installed. I thought putting the entire kit on was to overwhelming (like the pic you posted)

I have had the kit on since August of 2002 and have not had one piece lift or show signs of wear. I am very happy with the fit.

I plan on adding a few more pieces of the kit one of these days.

Good luck with whatever you go with.
I suggest going to your local dealer to see who/what they use.
