OBDii wiring picture request
Hello, long time reader first time poster, got a bit of a weird request.
So I'm trying to build up a microcontroller to talk to my 2002 G35 250GT Sedan's OBDii port. Yes it's the baby of the bunch but I got it a few years ago now and it's what I could afford at the time, it's done me well and I'm happy with it.
However I'm not entirely convinced it is actually wired as an OBDii plug, but merely masquerading as one.
TL;DR: Can anyone with an early G35 sedan who has had success with OBDii readers please post a pic of the back of their OBDii plug clearly showing the wiring?
I want to see if mine is wired the same, differently, or if it's CONSULT but just pretending to be OBDii or something silly like that. Edit: Also perhaps something in the Infiniti's gets rewired for the US to meet OBDii standards?
Thanks in advance
And for those who want to say "Why make one?" I say "Why not?"

Don't know if this will help but some interesting reading here:

Thanks 05_SkylineSedan,
Yeh I've been looking around a lot, and everywhere seems to have conflicting information, even the Infiniti Service Manual that I got from this site years ago has conflicting information
The pin layout of an OBDii plug on the wiki doesn't match the pin out of the OBDii plug in my car, which is why I was hoping perhaps someone from the US who has used OBDii readers could send me a pic of their wiring so that I could compare and try to get closer to figuring out what the difference is with mine.
The contradicting info in the Service Manual shows the OBDii plug is wired with CAN to pins 6 and 3, rather than 6 and 14 like OBDii CANbus is supposed to be. My car matches the Service Manual, with it wired to pins 6 and 3. However, the Service Manual then goes on to say that the protocol used is ISO 9141, which according to the ISO9141/OBDii spec should be K-Line and L-Line, not the CAN-H and CAN-L of the CAN bus that is shown in the Service Manual wiring.
Also, I have two extra wires in pins 12 and 13 (Manufacturers Discretion for OBDii), which I'm wondering if they are the old Nissan CONSULT lines, but they aren't marked in the service manual (that I've found so far).
Perhaps if anyone owns a Haynes Manual for this car, whether their wiring diagrams would spread more light on the issue?
Thanks again
