FX45 oil filter on G35x

Have anyone using the bigger oil filter on there G?if not the FX45 oil filter is the way to go. I just recently did and oil change on my G and i did not go with the g35 oil filter but i just have to pick up the FX45 oil filter and compare the two , the FX45 oil filter is about an inch longer then the G so i decide to go with that! More filter capacity! Hopefully this help.

Here the video of PCV valve delete and oil catch can install:

Here what i did a cheaper way LOL

1: take out the OEM PCV vale and use a drill to empty out what ever inside the Valve (it usually just a spring and a little metal ball or plastic ). After all that put the Valve back and go to advance or auto zone buy a liltle filter for 9 buck and vacuum line cap for like 3 buck and then you done. So do you guy think delete the pvc valve and vent it out side is a good idea let me know, if not let me know the only draw back is that the car will smell like gasoline , also is the bigger oil filter is a good idea

Not sure I understand the PCV delete and what it accomplishes......I'd stick with the OE filter, again, no gains using a different one especially one with only an inch of difference. More filter capacity???? More oil in the filter means less oil in the crankcase.....imo, that's probably not a positive but rather a negative effect! Again, just my opinion.

I dont know what the FX45 filter is like...

But i use a VQ30DE filter which sounds the same as the FX45.

My 98 maxima and my 05 g35 have similiar filters, AIR FILTER is exactly the same and the oil filter works as well. That extra inch allows for more filtering. I check oil levels and 5qt still makes it full according to dipstick. Been doing this for the last 3 years, no issues and there will never be done.

PCV thing... thats on your own. The reason a PCV valve is there is for emissions... but a catchcan makes more sense.

thanks for you guy for replying..... SO far so good with the bigger oil filter , i don't have the picture compare it side by side but when i have the time go to the store ill take a couple picture of the two. OK so change the oil about three day now and i roughly put close to 200 miles, and i check the oil this morning, the oil seem to look fairly new.
