2003 transmission problems

2003 g35 sedan transmission problems help!!!!
Can someone help me when im driving up a hill my car wont switch to 5th gear or when its in 5th it wont down shift can someone tell me why it just goes to a higher rpm and wont switch but when i have it in Manuel mode it works fine...
