Need help with front sway bar links!!

I have my front sway bar down and Im replacing my front sway bar links I got from Rock Auto, well where the sway bar link bolts on to the control arm it looks like it doesn't come off because it is connected like a ball joint?? I took off the 2 bolt on the opposite side of control arm a it looks like 1 sold unit. All I got from Rock Auto was the sway bar endlink and the 1 nut that holds it on. Any help would be great.

i changed mine years ago. i cant remember what it looks like but i know it was straight forward. i forget if you have to use an allen wrench on it or if their are notches near the ball joint.

I know I thought the same thing super easy job...straight forward but where the bolt comes out of the lower control arm it seems as it is one piece connected with the ball joint. Is it different because it is the X model?

The AWD end link is different from RWD. The AWD style is more like a balljoint. The two bolts on the backside remove the balljoint, but to remove the end link, there should be a nut on the front side.

If you want to replace that ball joint
