Hey guys, i just bought these used XXR 527 rims from a private seller, and when i tried them on they stuck out quite a lot, and im a bit worried. 1st off does this look stupid? 2nd can it cause problems? Because most cars i see the wheels are flush. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
Yes when it sticks out it means the offset is bad or your bore size does not match (it may not be sitting correctly!). If it is a wide wheel with low offsets (less then +10) then you will have issues fitting these at all

On the back of the wheel it will list the wheel size (18x8), offset (+33), and bore (66.1mm I think for Infiniti). What does yours say.
I know the xxr size is 18x9.75. I would have to check the offset

Is your car lowered? The risk is if you hit a good bump, the tire can rise and hit the fender lip. What happens then is anyones guess. I've seen cars with rolled lips slice the tires. I've seen the tire put good dents in the fenders.

I also forgot to mention that technically, the tires must be covered by a fender to avoid flinging rocks and road debris. You'll notice that when a lot of jacked up 4X4 trucks put big tires on, they also add fender flares to help meet that regulation of having a fender cover the tire completely.
I know nobody on this forum gives a rats *** about regulations anyway since half the mods done to cars here are illegal anyway.

It isn't necessarily illegal, it just doesn't look good. Get the numbers (one from front one from rear).

The width of any fender or mudguard required under this section must be of sufficient size so that the fender or mudguard extends at least to each side of the width of the tire
It might be an inspection issue thing if whoever inspects your car follows the letter of the law

this is what it looks like. and now that i have them on, when i drive i hear a washing machine noise coming from the rear right tire.. any ideas? :/
