I tried it out today ut whe i got to a turn the car sortha shook like the transmission had a prob or something was i suppoed to shift before turning or something can someone tell me exactly how to use stick shift. What rpm to shift, what speed, before or after turning , etc i would really appreciate it if someonecould help ill try to post a pic l8r on it is a black sedan with stone gray or whatever it is called interior
your interior is called "graphite." as for learning how to use a stick shift, you'll need to learn on a real manual transmission car, not your G, since it isn't a true manual, but a "manumatic." so maybe you should keep your car in auto for now. good luck.
ya i heard about the limiter but why does the car shake when i turn it only happens when its on manual is it some kind of break in thing. can u tell me what rpm is good to shift with. i dont know what to do when im on 2nd or more gear and im slowing down do i have to shift down or shouldi just accellerate. As for you issue regarding the "manumatic," I think you should hold out on using it until you know how to use it. I realize this sounds a bit like a Catch-22. However, I really doubt anyone can "tell" you how to actually use the manumatic through this venue. Perhaps a trip to the dealer would be beneficial. Allow a knowledegable salesperson to show you how to utilize this feature. Otherwise, I'm sure you could do some damage to your car.
Actually lawboy05 has a good idea, go back to your dealership and ask if someone there could give you a few lessons on how to use the manual mode.... But here's some tips..
Basicaly you will want to shift between 3000-4000 rpms when driving normal, this should give you a nice smooth shift between gears.... Also when driving the manual mode, you do not need to let off the gas when shifting, just keep your foot into it when you shift, otherwise you will get a jerky sensation...
only thing I can guess that would cause the car to be jerky taking corners in manual mode is your keeping the car in a low gear and the RPM's are high as you go around the corner, when the RPM's are high the car is extreamly sensative to throttle input and this would cause your car to jerk/shake if you didn't have a steady foot on the throttle. Next time you go around a corner make sure the RPM's are around 2000-3000 and it should be smoother...
