Hey everyone! Long time reader here! I was just wondering if anyone else has this problem. I really do love my G, had it for about 7 years now, but for some time now I've noticed this really annoying Noise only above 6000 rpm usually when WOT. It sounds like metal scraping, kinda hard to explain. Also around 3000-4000 rpm I hear something like a flutter when barely on the gas. I think it might be the fuel pressure regulator. Just wondering if anyone else had any similar issues before I go to the dealer.

 

When was the last time you changed the engine accessory belt? DId you inspect it? WHat's the condition? look good or frayed, cracked and overall in bad shape? What sort of tension?

Based on what you described, i'd inspect the belt first

 

I checked the belts and topped off the oil.. Noise is still there. I'm gonna have a mechanic check it out and see what he thinks.
