Hi all,

I know there are plenty of threads on the subject matter but i wanted to start a new post since there seems to be a lot of conflicting information regarding the subject and also there are a lot of older threads, so i was wondering if there are updates to the issue.

Backstory: Lost my only FOB/Key, purchased new from dealer, had the key cut.

Qustion 1. Can a "NEW" intelligent Key+FOB be programmed by ME? It has been a few years since some of these threads and i'm hoping someone has figured it out.

Question 2. Can a "NEW" intelligent Key+FOB be programmed by a locksmith and how much it should cost.

Thank you all

It'll need to be done by a locksmith or dealer... as far as cost, it all depends on your area.. without any means of driving the car, you're looking at a trip charge and programming fee vs a tow plus dealer fees

Thank you Falcor, i've seen your responses in threads before. I contacted smiths in the area and best price i got was 120. He should be coming tomorrow am. Now, i'm wondering how to protect myself from this happening again with my only key.

IIRC, if you have TWO programmed keys, you can do a 3rd yourself.

Need to doublecheck that
