Just recently purchased a Standard Osiris Tuner from Uprev and plunged the cipher cable in and it said it connected to my ecu and everything but It says I need a ROM file to reflash my ECU and I can't find it anywhere! It is supposed to be in my rom files and I think uprev just didn't send it to me! So I loged everything they said to log and emailed it to them to receive an etune (rom file)... Is that what I am supposed to do?

 

If you're purchasing an e-tune then yes. You'll need to send them a list of your mods and they'll send you a file to flash to the ecu.

 

yup, you need to log the car running as prescribed, running the gas you plan on tuning in on and then send the file back. They will adjust the throttle, timing and cams to best suit in a VERY generalized fashion your block.

Unless you on a HR manual .. DO NOT increase the revlimit. 5at's are cam-limited and your power drops like a **rock** after 6200+rpm and it is pointless to set the limiter higher than oem (6500-ish)

 

Email them your ECU part # and list of mods, along with any special requests and they will send you a base tune to reflash. Then you will datalog. Datalogging before you have the base tune reflashed is a waste of time...
