Newbe exhaust question, NEED HELP!

I have an 03' g35x, bought about 9 months ago. it has 92k miles on it and the exhaust has decided to rust away. This is where I need everyone's help! Looking for an upgrade from stock but can't afford to spend over 500, what options do I have?

The resonator and the where the muffler attaches to the mid-pipe. So Im guessing I will need a catback system.

There's no 03 G35x. With your budget it'll be hard to find quality new aftermarket exhaust. Either go check FS threads and CL for used ones, or you can swap to HR Y pipe + 05/06 sedan mid pipe or coupe mid pipe + a muffler, they should fit into your budget. Also go check the tech section to get some ideas.

save your money until you can get an exhaust. I say Fast Intention will be a nice upgrade for you. check the private classified. Lots of used exhaust

iPhone+ big thumbs= a lot of miss spelling and wrong numbers. Ment to say 04'.

For used items what should I be looking for, as for brands? What's good, what's bad?

Read the sedan exhaust section to start: Sticky: !!Look here before starting a new thread!! 2003-2006 Sedan FAQ's

OEM ones: look for HR Y pipe, 05/06 sedan mid pipe, and 03-07 coupe mid pipe. 03/04 muffler is the same as yours, 05/06 muffler is a little bigger and need to mod the hanger to mount on your car.

Aftermarket: check Sticky: Aftermarket Sedan Exhaust Compilation

You can prob get a coupe midpipe and an aftermarket muffler. But since you're under there may as well snag a HR Y pipe as well.

With sedans your options are limited for full catback. As far as I know it's only Borla or Stillen. Both 900+
