Calling all 05 g35x regarding temperature control.

Hello all,

I am just curious if any 05 g35x out there have this temperature problem like mines. I've posted before but hopefully you guys can try it for me. Basically, if the "circulate outside air" button is press and the mode lets say it's venting to my face/feet etc, everything is ok. As soon as I press the "circulate inside button" the AC turns on. There is no way for my car to have the fan on and "circulate inside button" pressed without the AC on. I am wondering if it's something wrong with my car. Why can't I circulate inside air without turning on the AC? If this is a problem on my specific car I want to bring it up to the dealers on my 1st oil change. I like switching different modes on the fan and I find myself spending way too much time turning the AC off manually.

Thanks...

The behavior you are observing is, unfortunately, exactly how the HVAC system is programmed to work. Many of us have the same complaint you have, but there is not a work-around. Sorry.

I think the AC goes on when in the "inside air" mode to eliminate the moisture that gets into the inside air from your breathing. If it didn't, there would be a tendency to fog up the windows. It's nicer to get outside air anyway, unless you are stuck behind a diesel or in a really bad-smelling area [and no New Jersey jokes-my air smells fine! ].
