Fan trouble! Help!

Both of my radiator fans constantly run, I start my car cold and it takes around 4 or 5 minutes and they're both running. Not sure where to start! I have an 06 G35x sedan

So they are off, and then 4-5 mins later come on?

How hot does your car run? Can you hook a code scanner up that reads live data and report what the engine coolant temp sensor is reading?

We need ot determine if the fans are coming on due to an electrical fault, or because they are needed due to high coolant temp

The tempature gauge is around the middle, it doesn't seem to be running hot.
I have a friend that has a scanner that can read it. I'll have to do it this weekend.
