Rear axle click is back
I had the TSB done years ago, but the clicking noise is back. Every time I reverse and shift to drive I'll get a click click noise coming from the rear drivers side. I'll hear it from time to time when coasting.
At 130K miles, what needs to be done to the rear axles? Replacement? I've had both rear wheel bearings replaced and diff fluid changes, but nothing with the axles. Do they just need to be greased up again?

Man, talk about a blast from the past. I haven't seen the words "rear axle click" posted on these forums in 5-6 years or so.
I had that TSB done on my car when it had 25K miles or so. 160K and it's been good. If I were in your shoes, i'd just be thinking that it's time to reapply the grease and hope that takes care of the issue.

Yeah for such a common problem early on, I was surprised with no recent threads when searching. Perhaps most people here took care of it under warranty.
I was also thinking my mechanic didn't grease them enough when the bearings were changed. Had that done about a year ago.
