looking to lower my 04 g35x

I apologize in advance if this post is out there somewhere I just couldn't find it.That said I purchased a set of H&R springs for a non x sedan. I also purchased new wheels.they are 18x8's with a +40 offset. so my main question is what is the best tire size going to be with that set up?Thanks

I have 18x8 +40 on my X, and I'm running 235/45s all around. Stock X rear springs in the back, and I swapped to OEM coupe springs up front. I didn't want to go too low.

I feel like my x is way taller than most stock ones. Here is some pics.i can fit a full closed fist between the fender and tire on both front and rear. That is with stock wheels and with an extra set of chrome wheels I have with 235/45-18's with a +38 offset ill post pic of the eel heels I bought for the drop.

Here is a pic of the wheels I bought for it I really hope that with the h&r's and the 18x8 +40 I don't have any rub issues. I am thinking 235/40-18 or 225/40-18 but that is what I am asking. My car looks like a 4x4 right now

Nasty I know that pic was just to see what they looked like with the shorter tires. I actually mounted 235/45-18 tires on the wheels and ran them for a little bit before I sold them. I have my stocks on now while I figure out what size and brand tires to put on my new advanti kudos.

On a serious note I want to go with 235/40-18 nitto 555's any opinions? I had 275/35-18 555's on my rx8 when I had it and liked them.

235/45 18s are very close in diameter to the original 225/55 17s - in fact, 235/45 18s were the stock size for sport sedans with the 18" Rays. Personally, I wouldn't go with 235/40s - they'll be too short and throw off the speedometer.

Thanks for the response and I read that about the speedo and the 235/45's.What about fitment and gap with the h&r's ? I had 235/45-18' s and they seem way to meaty once my car is dropped? I don't mind the speedo discrepancy if I get a good look! I would love to see a pic of a g lowered with 18's and 235/40 tires

Is there really not one person in this group that knows of or has a picture of a g35sedan lowered on h&r tein or any other type lowering spring with 18x8 +40 offset wheels with 235/40-18 tires? It's gotta be out there right? I feel like lowering my car and then putting a balloon size sidewall 235/45 tire it will look ridiculous just to have the speedo 2mph more accurate.

There's probably a few, why don't you search a bit and find it, not that hard really. I can see now why the vets on this board give new people crap, this is elementary stuff. Try harder.
