Both sides broken down. I am replacing both rear bearings, rotors and pads. I am replacing one caliper. Gonna wire brush and grease up the splined axle too.

Wow. Amazing how that failed like that then. Good thing it wasn't the differential as I had a feeling it wasn't the bearing. Glad you are going to get the car back together soon, Any body damage from sscraping on the ground?

Not that I can see. I guess the rotor took the abuse. Gonna get the bearings pressed in today and everything reassembled. Rims and tires should be here today. Should be on the road this afternoon. Glad I took the extra day off today.

It was easy to press in when I did mine, but I put the bearing in the freezer before doing it.

Thanks I had a guy press in both hubs and 10 new studs for $40.

Everything is back together. Wheels showed up, but wrong lug nuts. Mounting hole cannot fit socket for standard lugs. I need splined or similar. Tire Rack is shipping out the correct ones.

Just the other day, I was at Walmart. I saw a car that has a 5 lug pattern and 2 of the lugs were missing (one was broken off). Lets be safe everyone.

So, in the end I replaced both rear calipers, both rear rotors, pads on both sides, rear diff fluid, bled brakes, both rear bearings, all 10 rear studs and wheels and tires all around. I spent about $1500 total. am sure the labor bill would have been $600+ if I didnt diy.

I had a dragging sound that turned out to be the heat shield rubbing on the rotor. Everything else went fairly smooth.
