Been really itching to get a trunk lately and was considering either the k2 or RB trunk. RB is a bit aggressive with how far out it goes so I'm leaning towards the k2. Haven't found any threads on them besides FS/WTB threads.
Which one has the better fitment? I've seen pictures of both that look like they have near perfect fitment but does it require any adjustments to fit like that? Never did a trunk swap before so what kind of adjustments exactly are done if they are needed?
I don't want to have the trunk not have any badges so I was thinking of buying the OEM lettering/badges for the trunk and doing my best to line them up still. Will the OEM trunk liner fit as well? Also, is the functionality of the trunk exactly the same as OEM like the remote open, release hatch from inside, etc?
Lastly, how hard is it to do a trunk swap? I haven't found any detailed instructions on it so just wondering if it's something I can do myself.
Thanks guys!

VIS k2 will require slight adjustment at the mounting points. I have one and only use one strut instead of 2 since it is lighter than oem. OEM trunk liner fits but you will have to drill out the holes for the clips as well as enlarge the opening where the harness grommet fits. Functionality is the same. Id give it a 3/10 difficulty.

Is it true that the k2 is only made in CF? I was leaning towards getting a paint matched one rather than CF since I don't have any CF on my car and it's also black.
Also, once those adjustments are made, it wouldn't stop me from ever going back to an OEM trunk in the future would it?

Im not sure, id assume so since ive only ever seen it in CF. No problems going back to the oem trunk. After knowing everything from the initial install I could swap the oem back in less than 30 mins.Originally Posted by Asumis51
