Normal car voltage range

I have a 2004 G35 and was wondering what is the normal voltage operating range? I am getting 13.5 Volts while idling and driving. Just wanted to know if that's the normal. I'm using a scan tool to get this information.

If someone has a scan tool or Torque app on they phone can anyone check their G to see what they running voltage is would also help. I'm just trying to see if this is normal for Infiniti's or I have a problem as all my other cars run at least 14 Volts.

Yes, it's normal for a CHARGED battery in a running car to read 13.3-13.8 VDC. At start up, it may go as high as 14.7 VDC and then settle back to 13.x. If it goes to 15.1 and stays there, you are asking for trouble, likely to boil your battery dry.

It's cool to have gauges you can keep track of all the time!

My volt gauge reads 14.4 most of the time, once in a while less...then it goes back...Gary
