control arm woes

Accidentally posted this in media, if a mod can delete that post please!

Hello all. I thought I was registered here but i guess not.*

I own a*2003*G35*Sedan. It was in an accident last year where the driver side was impacted destroying the spindle, control arm, etc. My first mistake was having my insurance choose the shop.

After the work was done, i noticed the alignment was way off base. I mentioned this to the shop which blamed it on worn passenger suspension parts (not covered under claim I guess)

So my wife continued to drive it vicariously, fast forward to today. The issue became so bad that the car would feather on the freeway even at speeds below 60. Scary as hell.

I ripped apart the suspension myself and couldn't beleieve the amount of worn control arm and*sway*barbushings. On both sides! The compression bushins were basically gone with metal on*metal*contact.

Pressed all the bushings, replaced with energy, installed Z shocks, etc. I went to put the castle bolt on the*driver side ball joint*when i noticed the cotterpin hole is covered by the control arm. I checked the pasnger side, it is beveled in much deeper allowing the castle nut to seat and the cotter pin to slide in.

Soo.. before I proceed to replace the control arm and blast the shop for shoddy work (loose*steering knuckle*bolt, etc.) I'd like to know what car this control arm is from..*

part number 2WL 44-1

My passenger side is 2wr 10-0 if that helps.

I will see if they used the correct spindle and*compression*rod*as well. Everything seems a bit wonky on that side.

Thanks.

If you are trying to blast the shop and have legal action, then you shouldn't have done it yourself.

If you did notice something was off base, why didn't take it to another shop to have them look at it. It seems now its a lot of he said, she said type of stuff. Not saying i dont believe you but time has passed and a lot of things COULD of happened.
