04' G35 Sedan random misfires.

Last month I purchased my first car from my local craigslist. The car is high mileage, but I plan on taking great care of it and properly maintaining it. The previous owner was very forthcoming with some issues that the car had and I figured that for the price I could fix all of it and have a great car in the process, but I have found myself having problems troubleshooting the problems. I took the car to my local autozone and had them run a code scanner on it. Cylinder 5 was misfiring. So I bought 6 brand new sparkplugs and a new coil for cylinder 5. Now when I rune the code scanner on it, it says random misfires. Any tips on how I could diagnose this problem?

The code says the car is misfiring, but is the car ACTUALLY misfire? Not saying you should but this should be a quick diag job for any shop.

Was #5 a dead misfire, when you replaced that coilpack did it improve overall performance or was it the same?

On the sidenote, i see a lot of noobs mix plugs for coilpacks on the driver side, the back 2 because they can reach to the other side. I would look into that.
