So my answer on potential power loss wasn't good enough?

For the sedan, a common "upgrade" is to swap in a coupe mid-pipe. I didn't know what the big deal was until I helped a friend install an exhaust, the resonator on the sedans is massive and heavy.

My question is, how would I properly go about doing this, while still keeping the tips?

Also, is it true that simply removing the muffler may actually decrease horsepower, but a tune should fix that?
Just do the muffler delete and see how it sounds. It is pretty cheap to do....just put the muffler back on if you don't like it. I had one for a while and it was ok, pretty loud though. It sounded sick wide open though.

Honestly don't do a muffler delete that to me seems ricey and our cars don't deserve that get a 350Z or G35 midpipe just that rite there you'll hear a difference and get an axle back or just save those $100 and keep saving and you can pick up the Megan Racing OEM RS Cat back I've seen them between $350 & $400

I think you should just crack the muffler open and run bigger pipe through it. It'll make it louder while keeping it more stock sound

I would not do it, first of all it's not a Honda civic, and second it's just gonna be so loud that after a few weeks you'll hate it.

I had to replace that rear resonator (the big square one), mine's a sedan, and I just bought a big *** pontiac grand prix resonator, and installed it.

Actually just heard a local owner with a sedan with a coupe midpipe and a hr Y pipe and a muffler delete and it sounded pretty good. That's my ears though, not yours. I will say it's quite loud under full throttle but that's to be expected

There are different ways to have the muffler delete done.
I see that these guys are just criticizing you for wanting to do the muffler delete. Don't listen to bullies. If they want to get you a new muffler with their dead end jobs let them. You do what you want to your car.
I did a muffler delete on my car and I like it a lot. Just keep in mind on 1st and 2nd gear even on a slow take off its gona sound loud. I just feel like I would be annoying others so I am looking for ways to customize that.
Think about it. Every bolt on these kids spend $1,000 for someone designed it. You can design your own exhaust after you do your muffler delete. There's many ways to play with it but I'm still looking for other options, mainly to smooth out the 1st and 2nd gear sound. After 3rd you'll be pretty fine and won't hear any noise if you're just coasting.

My muffler delete cost a lot more than $100... You might want to ask the shop what they will be doing for $100.
My muffler delete took about an hour and a half because I had them custom make a Y pipe from where I told them I wanted it to begin and how to go.

I don't know what to do for $100 on the car just be safe about what you do. Happy modding
