First, if anyone is interested in a Q50, DO NOT buy anything older than 2015. The 13-14 cars have all kinds of software problems. Mine has had NONE. Second, I ordered mine with NONE of the electronic nannies ang no DAS steering. My only complaints so far are the Dunlop run-flats (tend to wander a bit) and the lack of apps for the car (Pandora you can get in an MX-5 for cripes sake! And WAYZ). Nissan has promised to have them for the last two years. Pandora works fine through the Bluetooth, I just want it on the touch screen.

I would probably have to do the same thing and get a new Q50S but that is out of my budget and I prefer other vehicles in that price range. Maybe 1 year old used vehicle for the same amount of money. Replace the run flats with new tires from Discount Tire when they go on sale for the holidays. I was able to get Michelin Pilot Sport AS/3 for 50% off after all discounts, cashback and rebates from sears.

It's not the issue of driving a manual. I drove mine for 4.5 years in Dallas rush hour traffic. When compared to other vehicles, the manual transmission is much different in our vehicles. It has a very small modulation zone, engagement point is very high, pedal has a spring built in which absorbs a lot of the feedback you would normally feel from the master/slave/clutch. Again any one with 3 brain cells can drive the Infiniti manual but in comparison to other vehicles, Infiniti dropped the ball on the bracket.

Idk my experience is quite the opposite. I feel everything with the g. Other cars are the soft clutches where I cant feel anything at all. That includes the g37. I was very disappoint that infiniti changed it n made it soft like the other cars now. My understanding is that too many people complained the g was too stiff and hard on their little legs.. I fkn hate the manual g37 but ima still look for a manual cus its manlier to drive..

Lol yup the value is killing it for me too. I'd keep both if I could but I live in a condo with one parking. It's unreal wat the car is worth now. Most people on craigs selling their g locally have started going by kbb value of $7-8k for 03-04 models.

congrats, you got a deal.

the 2005-06 g's are the best imho. They do need some maintainence, but are rock solid cars. No other nissan, infiniti is better built imho. Values are actually quite good. See some cars going for 9-10 grand from dealers.

one of the guys that used to post here, YoungTurk, has a S14 with just shy of 400, 000 thousand miles on it. It's a 91 I think. However, he's replaced damn near everything on it, including a motor swap.

I took delivery of my Rivian R1S that has been on order for couple years. I got it towards the start of summer and made a last minute decision to grab the exact opposite color configuration compared to my Infiniti.

My Q40 is Moonlight White Pearl with Graphite seats. The Rivian I picked up is Midnight black exterior on Ocean Coast interior.

I still have the Infiniti in my stable but it's currently being driven by my wife.

Rivian puts a smile on my face just like when I first got my red headed step child Rev-Up 2005 G35 6mt Sedan.

Now I can finally say I have a 6 Piston - Brembo BBK. I've been trying to buy a BBK since I first got my G back in 2011.

I really like the R1S. It’s a really great looking vehicle out on the road! Nice garage you’ve got there.

Thanks! Its really an amazing vehicle that has the ability to completely transform from a mall crawler to a legit off-roader and back to a SAV (sports activity vehicle) all by pushing a button.

I typically drive it in sport mode, low ride height and soft rebound. With my family, I will switch it up to standard ride height, soft rebound and all purpose mode.

I am really looking forward to a lot of this tech making its way into the Rivian R2 so it gets into the hands of more and more people.
