I have a question re: 2005 G35 sedan. Difficulty turning over whether engine is cold or warmed up the last few days. Battery replaced within the last 3 months, alternator tested at that time and was okay. Today SLIP and VDC OFF light as well as , service engine soon light came on today. Which I will do. I am just looking for feedback because I don't wanna get hemorrhaged at the dealership. From what I have read I don't think this is a break issue either. The pads were replaced < 2 yrs ago. Oil and fluids have reportedly been topped off at last servce <3months ago.
Thoughts?
Thanks everyone.

Go to a shop and have them pull the engine codes to find the specific issue your car is having. To me it sounds like a Cam Position Sensor is going out. But you need to get the code to know for sure and to find out which one needs to be replaced.
I recently had this same problem. Read through this thread for more information:

Don't automatically rule out a battery problem.Originally Posted by beaner

Test the individual cells with a battery hydrometer
What capacity battery did you replace it with? (CCA rating)
Use a voltmeter to measure the voltage across the battery with the engine running. Should read 14.4 v

Thanks to everyone what a big help...beaner Colleen

Seems like I've seen this come up so often lately. Does anybody replace these preventively? I hate the idea of having my car die on my during my 30 mile interstate highway commute. I've got 192k on my presumably original parts (new to me at 160k). Is everyone using OEM replacements or something aftermarket like from rockauto?

RockAuto, autozone, OEM replacements work fine.
