Fixing to take it to a dealer and pay through the nose to have them officially "diagnose" the problem. I doubt they'll actually do the cats/O2 sensor testing. How do I verify that they actually do?

Gonna wait for some feedback and look it over again before I take it in. When I clear the code, it takes 1-2 days for it to come back. Anywhere from 25-60 miles. I KNOW it's not the cat.

One thing I've noticed is that sometimes the idle will slow down while at a stop and it'll drop to 650ish and hold there.I can feel the weird idle change, almost like a misfire, and then it drops and idles smoothly again. Not sure if it's related or what that could be.

Will post more as soon as I have any new developments. Meanwhile, looking for a Z-tube. I wonder if I might have broken the G tube. I've gotten a bit rough with putting it in/taking it out in frustration a few times.
If it's actually the CAT I think they have a 8 year or 100K mileage warranty on them regardless if the car is still within warranty.

I had something similar to that with my vacuum leak. Buy a cheap vacuum gauge from Harbor Freight for like 20 bucks and hook it up to that little port on the plenum. If should maintain around 22 I think without dropping or raising to much.

Thanks Coffey. I already looked into the cat warranty, no go.

Anyone know if 06 coupe cats/y pipe will fit the 06 sedan? Might be able to pick up a complete 06 coupe OEM exhaust for $300. Really don't want the OEM muffler as I can't use it.

Edit: I can say that the 06 coupe cats/y-pipe indeed do fit. They have 70k miles on it. What would the full exhaust be worth? The guy wants me to make him an offer as he knows I can't use the muffler but wants me to take the whole thing.

Seems that the y pipe wouldn't make any difference. So I'm not sure who would want the OEM y-pipe/muffler. I think I would rather have the HR y-pipe. But that's another problem for another day.
