Magnaflow question

I got a 05 sedan AT with a coupe mid and magnaflow rear. My buddy got a new universal magnaflow muffler laying around in his garage and i was wondering if i replace the resonator with it, would it make my exhaust sound deeper. I got a pop charger z tube, and a spacer. The exhaust sounds good now but a little high piched at times and i wanted to bring it down and have a lower pich without spending hundreds of dollars. I know i know.... Save up for good exhaust but i was curious if it would work.

The pipeing is the same 2.5 in and out.

Why? Just remove the resonator and replace it with straight pipe.

Best answer to your question ^ resonator delete is a good idea since you don't like the sound you have! Save the resonator just in case you don't like the loud sound!

Well then you can't change ANY exhaust component unless you wanna spend big $$ on a brand who's already done this sort of r&d (I.e. motordyne, HKS, tanebe, etc). You aren't an exhaust engineer, nor are any other cheap jokers on this site, so you don't get to go from zero to hero simply by asking dumb questions.
