Just lowered my X!

Hey guys!

New here and I just lowered my 2004 g35x.

I'm on Tanabe DF210's. Any other lowered X's out there that had to deal with massive camber? My rear camber after lowering -3.6 left and -3.1 right. I was looking into SPC rear camber arms. They also sell just the camber bolt.

Bonus: Dirty pic I took today.

Hate to break it to you,

But lowering an X too much has a bunch of consequences.

Namely your front axles tearing and clunking.

Parts for the X are not cheap by any stretch of the imagination.

I would have your entire suspension checked prior to alignment because if things are out of whack, you would have wasted an alignment.

I lowered my 06X last summer and put the SPC camber arms and toe adjusters on the rear at the same time. I didn't put in any adjustment in the front. I don't recall my numbers but the alignment shop was able to get it pretty close to spec. I don't get any uneven tire wear and haven't broken anything yet. I fixed a torn passenger CV boot that I didn't know about when I lowered the car. It was probably torn before I bought the car.

My drop looks similar to yours. I wish the rear were a little higher. I've been thinking about putting something else in the back like coupe or Z springs. The stock ride height just looks so bad to me with about 4" from fender to tire....

The stock height was crazy. I wasn't expecting such a drastic drop but I'm okay with it.
The front axle was already replaced before purchasing the car. The car so far rides overall really well with the springs. The only issues I have is I broke a camber bolt. But I get no rub and my Toe is fine. I'll grab that SPC set and hope for the best! Thanks for your input.

I had the suspension checked before the alignment. Only thing they found was a broken camber bolt.

Yea theres a sweet spot for the X. I forgot what it is. They dont like being slammed. I tore my cv boot prob a month after lowering it. Raised it up a bit and havent had any issues so far.

Yep. Around 26.5 all around fender to ground. Good for a decent drop.
