I think you had your sedan detailed before my coupe with Eric. I'm very pleased his work.

Yes, Eric did my car. I agree, he does great work. Very nice guy, too.

Look at it this way...are you going to miss $5-10? You are paying anyway, and tipping beforehand is a GREAT idea...just shows you want a good job and am willing to pay for it. He is more likely to do a better job.

Detailers? Yes, it's customary to tip if the job is to your satisfaction. It's a job that would be easy to "phone in", so when someone really pays attention to every detail, I believe it should be rewarded.

Mechanics? Never done it, never thought about it.
