What did you do to the G Sedan today?

Swapping engine
Today started off with moving my g35 into the garage which was almost impossible. i’m doing an engine swap with my friend after my oil filter busted and i got rodknock from lack of oil. The camshaft and several positions were ruined. We removed everything except for the engine itself. The only challenging part is we bought an awd VQ35DE when my engine is a RWD. We will have to swap parts back and fourth.

Started a new retrofit today
So I'm tired of my current quad headlight setup and wanted something a bit less flashy. Decided on a still setup using the porsche panamera shrouds. As far as I know (or seen) I maybe the first to toss one in the sedan.
Also,
THEY ARE HUGE
This is just a mock up from an old set disassembled lights I keep around for testing. In a few weeks they'll be painted and installed in the spring. No halo this time, the shrouds are actually switchbacks with the led setup that the porsche has so I'm happy with that. Undecided about throwing a dummy projector in the top bowl. Hmmmm..

It was finally warm enough to work in the garage last week. Installed my Megan y-pipe on to resolve my exhaust leak. I had a huge hole in a flex section of the oem pipe that I couldn't fix cheaply. The two passenger side nuts came off with heat. The drivers side nuts were basically just piles of rust and I had to cut them off and pound the bolt out of the cat. One thing I didn't know what that the oem pipe is only 2.1" od. The Megan is 2.5". It sounds nice but I've had the leaky pipe so long I don't really remember what the oem system (with coupe mid) sounded like anymore.

Replaced the resonator on my Tanabe exhaust with a Virbrant Ultra-Quiet resonator. Sounds much better now. Without the booming drone, my exhaust sounds much meaner when I get on it but a lot quieter tooling around town.
Not particularly pleased with how much the resonator on the Tanabe necks down internally, the exhaust piping is just under 3" but look at this...the muffler was was the same.
The Vibrant resonator is 3" all the way through. Seems to feel a bit more energetic above 4000 rpm.
