Alternator or fuel pump bad?

Hey guys, I have an 06 g35 sedan. First and foremost, my had has never had any starting issues or loss of power issues. It was running perfect. Yesterday when I cranked it, it took a few seconds to get it started which I thought was strange but I didn't think much of it since I only drive the car a few times a week. While I was driving, I pushed it a little but once I pressed the accelerator further it completely lost power for a split second then it came back on. It happened again later on the same drive. I went to church then when I came out the car took a few seconds to start then when I was there idling for a few minutes it just died on me. I turned it on again and it immediately died the second it turned on. I believe I seen the battery light come on. I replaced the Serpantine and alternator belts because they were cracked and needed to be changed anyway. Now it only cranks but it doesn't want to start. Does anyone have a 100% answer whether it's a bad fuel pump or alternator? I'm just trying to avoid having to pay $70 to find out.

Sounds like a fuel pump issue but to be sure get a fuel pressure tester and check everything first. I just had this problem with my bmw and sure enough it was the fuel pump.

you can replace it yourself if you have patience and time. I did mine in my driveway and I'm not a gear head either. no special tools needed I just followed a DIY I saw on here.
