Hey everyone, silly question. I have a rip on the upper inside of my drivers seat, sort of near the headrest. Is that surface vinyl or leather? Also I have a rip on the edge of the passenger seat right near the power controls. Is that leather there (or vinyl too)?

Thanks in advance.

Our seats are leather/vinyl, they don't wear worth a damn but almost leather!

Not true. Only the inserts are leather. The outer parts of the side bolsters, back of the seat and headrests are vinyl.

I have a rip in my side bolster. That part is def vinyl.

The seating surface is leather though. On my drivers seat, about partway up, you can see a nice scar in the leather from whatever that poor cow happened to do to injure itself. Stands out pretty predominantly. I named him "earl"

If you want them to get repaired, going to a reputable local upholstery shop might cost less.

I tried going local... They quoted me so much to fix one seat. (two tears) that it is cheaper to buy a whole need seat on ebay if you can find one.

It takes patience and care, but these 3M vinyl repair kits work really well. You can make a cosmetic repair that will not be seen unless someone is looking for defects.
