I've got a 7yr/100k extended warranty on my G35x and yes, they do run *concurrently* with the bumper-to-bumper warranty. My understanding is that they price it differently based on how far through the bumper-to-bumper warranty you are (so, basically, the more time Infiniti is *actually* covering you for). Since I bought it at the time I got my car, I got a very good price on what I consider three additional years of coverage (knowing powertrain is already covered).

It's kind of like the way mfrs advertise the powertrain warranty. Sure, they advertise it as "7 yrs/100k miles" or something like that, but the ACTUAL coverage over-and-above is just the difference between that and the bumper-to-bumper warranty. Just a marketing trick to make it sound like a better deal than it is.

JBX is a good guy. He's just like that dad on Family Ties.

Thanks, I was not aware of that. I usually just read, not a big poster. I sent an email to that address.

Don't want to be a the one to post this but felt I should since I'm bored. So you purchased a warranty that overlaps the MFG warranty? Seems kind of silly.

Thanks for the English lesson. I didn't spend $1500 without reading the fine print.

RichNY is correct and obviously explained it better than I did. Thank you Rich.
