Hey everyone,

I have had a couple of posts lately asking for specific advice while purchasing an 03/03.5 sedan and I appreciate everyone’s help!

I especially want to single out JustBriliantX!!! He PMed me with some very detailed advice and has hooked me up with some good deals! Especially a sweet Infiniti extended warranty deal.

He is a past Infiniti sales guy and is very knowledgeable and willing to help. We have analyzed several deals I was considering and how to improve them.

But best of all, he has hooked me up with an Infiniti warranty at nearly cost. I am buying my car from a non-Infiniti dealer and was looking for a warranty. My local dealer didn’t feel like helping me out since I’m not paying $4k more for their identical used car. So I’m buying a warranty from an out of state dealer and saving hundreds!! Since it is an Infiniti warranty, I can use it anywhere!

I just wanted to publicly thank Dick for all his help. I saved a bunch of cash and got a better car. No personal gain to him – just me. I owe him the props!

I just want to reiterate to the forum that if you folks have *any* interest at all in buying an Infiniti exteded warranty, you need to PM Dick today.

I just got a 60/60 for a deal that is unbelievable. About $600 less than my dealer.

I will be driving worry free for 5 years now. This was the deal of the century!

I haven't gotten a deal this good since I bought my lawn tractor for 75% off because the oil plug wasn't tight and the sales manager at walmart thought it had an engine oil leak. LOL

Oh yeah, the the Atomic C:9-18 skiis I bought that were demoed with two small scratches plus Salomon bindings for $145 at the end of last season! LOL

I bought the 60 month/ 60k mile warranty. It goes into effect when you buy it and runs concurrent to the mfg warranty (even thought this is also an Infiniti warranty). So since I have 39000 miles, I will be under warranty until 2/25/2010 or 99000 miles.

The pricing depends upon how many miles you currently have on the vehicle. PM JustBrilliantX for more info. He set me up well.

Hey Homeslice,

This may be just a really dumb question, but .....

I went to Advanced Search to find any post by JustBriliantX and it said "invalid user". And the MemberList has been disabled, so, how do I send a PM to him?

I'm shopping for an Extended Warranty (for Canada) right now....

Thx!

Actually, I think you had it right.

I see you're from the Hoser state. My oldest son lives in Indianapolis. His mother, my wif, has a G on order.

Uh.. no.... concurrent means "at the SAME time"

Which means your warranty will expire at 60,000 miles or 60 months from it's original "in-service" date.

"concatenated", "add-on" or "post mfgr" would mean that starts after your mfgr warranty dies. Sorry, but you might want to check that fine print again. I truly hope that you are right and I am wrong.

Cheers, Ted

?

No, they all overlap. If a 60k extended warranty didn't go into effect until after the expiration of your 60k factory warranty, then you would have 120k. That is not the case.

I recieved my warranty package and it clearly states that the mileage experation is 99xxx.

Since it begins right away, they run cuncurrently for the period when they overlap.

Am I saying that correctly?

For some reason I am unable to send PMs, and he doesn't receive emails from the board. Could you perhaps send me his email via PM or provide correspondence via other means? I'm looking for a warranty myself.

Thanks,

Nico

You must post 5 times to have PM rights. That is your problem I believe.

Send him an email at ikkibod@aol.com or post 4 more messages and wait till you become active...

JBX is a good guy. He's just like that dad on Family Ties.

con·cur·rent adj.

1. Happening at the same time as something else. See Synonyms at contemporary.
2. Operating or acting in conjunction with another.
3. Meeting or tending to meet at the same point; convergent.
4. Being in accordance; harmonious.

Don't want to be a the one to post this but felt I should since I'm bored. So you purchased a warranty that overlaps the MFG warranty? Seems kind of silly. Couldnt' you just have purchased the extended warranty right when the MFG was about to run out? Then you have less overlap and in my opinion a better deal.
